The ASCE Utah YMF is sponsoring a scholarship program for Civil Engineering Students in Utah to assist them with their education. Two winners of this scholarship will be provided up to $1,000 and one $500 in cash scholarship.

Recognition at the ASCE Utah Section Annual Meeting and potential publication in the ASCE Utah Newsletter.
ELIGIBILITY OF APPLICANTS
Applicants must be a student of a Utah college or university during the 2026-2027 academic school year. Currently maintain a 2.5 GPA and be an ASCE Member. Don't worry membership is free for students! See link below to sign up.

This is a one-time award. Previous recipients of the scholarship are not eligible.
PROMPT & SUBMITTAL
Prompt: Please describe how your involvement in the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) has contributed to your academic, professional, and personal development as a civil engineering student. Additionally, discuss how you intend to remain engaged in ASCE or other professional civil engineering organizations after graduation. Based on the purpose of ASCE, how are you planning on contributing to the ASCE purpose? Please respond in 500-700 words.
Submittal: All application materials must be submitted electronically (formatted in PDF or Word) and are due End of Day on April 4th, 2026 via google forms.
In addition to the submittal to the prompt, the applicant will be asked to upload unofficial transcripts, resume, and ASCE Membership number.

NOTIFICATION
Winners will be notified after April 17th, 2026.
Upon acceptance, scholarship recipients are invited to the ASCE Utah Section Annual Meeting. Your prompt will be eligible for future ASCE publications.
